RISK DEVELOPER - VBA, .NET, SQL - Fund Manager - £550pd, City;
A great opportunity for a RISK DEVELOPER to join a leading UK Fund Manager has arisen. Based in the City, this is a 6 MONTH contract paying up to £550 per day.

The role
Joining a 19 strong team, your role as a Risk Developer will primarily entail the provision of support resource (desktop and Intranet based) for the risk systems. Knowledge of risk metrics and controls will therefore be considered as a strong advantage.
The technology environment is a mixture of VBA, Excel, Access and SQL Server/Oracle and is increasingly moving towards using the .NET technologies.
As a Risk Developer you will build and maintain solid relationships with users within the business and deliver RAD systems via the desktop.
You will enhance/update Legacy applications, take part in data migration work, as well as deliver new systems and provide some BAU support.
If you have good understanding of the Fund Management industry with solid development experience using VBA, Access, Excel with exposure to C#.NET & SQL Server/Oracle, this is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Fund Management organisation and develop your career!
Key skills/experience required:-
* Strong development experience using VBA, Access, Excel, Office 2010;
* .NET technologies skills;
* Detailed knowledge of Fund Management principles and concepts;
* Any experience of sourcing data from Algo will be considered as advantageous;
* Knowledge of derivatives and how they are constructed will be considered as a nice to have;
* Strong problem analysis and investigation skills and ability to find creative sustainable solutions to system issues and user problems;
* Experience of business and process analysis.
