DevOps engineer - Finance -ChicagoFor my client, I am looking for a DevOps engineer that will be responsible for the maintenance and support of testing and development environments. You will be taking care of building automation tools and deployments, improving the existing environment, and work with both development and infra teams to ensure smooth delivery. Also, you will be taking care of the integration of VMWare throughout the project, so a lot of coding in Java, J2EE will be required. You will not be aligned to one team, but float around in different groups.
Your profile:
- Excellent knowledge of Java programming
- Excellent knowledge of automation tools such as Puppet, Maven and Jenkins
- Strong knowledge of open source infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of Tomcat and Apache
- Experience with virtualization (VMWare, Amazon EC2)
- You come from a software engineering background and have strong infrastructure knowledge or the other way around.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours
You will be offered a role in a highly innovative and relatively new company that is making a name for themselves in the Chicago Finance sector. On offer is a base salary package that ranges between 70-90k base plus secondary benefits.
