Summary:

Our client is seeking an accomplished Disaster Recovery Analyst with strong managerial and risk management experience to contribute toward the success of their technology initiatives. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring tests to ensure all packages are up to date and functional, monitor change controls, and write disaster plans with business owners, The ideal candidate has Disaster Recovery experience, eBRP software package experience, LDRPS, as well as someone that has an IT background and is comfortable giving presentations. In this role you must demonstrate top-notch project management skills and use current business continuity tools and techniques to enhance the success of deliverables and services for the client. Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) is a strong plus! This is a 6 month + contract opportunity in Knoxville, TN.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate the ability to take a project and work alone to process completion.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of both business and technical controls as related to business continuity/disaster recovery.
  • Responsible to plan, design, develop and maintain the overall data strategy, data architecture, data models, principles, and standards.
  • Provide support when a business disruption occurs, and conduct after actions reviews, as directed.
  • Maintain periodic written and oral communications utilizing the templates for the organization.
  • Conduct and assess D/R tests/exercises to identify gaps and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate current D/R plan(s) against generally agreed upon organizations policies, standards and frameworks.
  • Provide periodic advice and support to organization for latest information on D/R.
    Respond to organization requests on BCM program and readiness. assist in resolving program/planning/testing issues.
  • Drive development and ongoing management of BCM program plans and documentation.
  • Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP)
  • Risk Assessment (RA)
  • Work Area Recovery Plans (WAR)
  • Situation Response Plans (SRP)
  • Facilitate action plans to ensure compliance.
  • Risk assessment to evaluate potential threats
  • Identify and define critical and time sensitive functions, services, applications and infrastructure
  • Perform system and technical analysis, as needed, to explore potential/alternate recovery strategies.
  • Report identified gaps to organization.
  • Assist with BCM audit, as directed.
  • Strong project delivery skills.
  • Superior communication skills with the proven ability to listen and understand the organizations needs as well as manage the organizations expectations throughout the duration of an engagement.
  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Superior communication skills with the proven ability to listen and understand the organization's needs, as well as manage the organizations expectations throughout the duration of the D/R process.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the fields of banking, credit card processing, and/or insurance industry performing system and technical recovery management duties or related experience.
  • Effective time management, communication and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or alternatively commensurate work experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Minimum of six years with experience in preparing and tested measures for protection of critical technical operations from the effects of a loss, damage, or other failure-of-operation in
    facilities providing critical functions.
  • 4+ years of experience in information technology.
  • 4+ years' experience facilitating group discussions, training/awareness meetings and exercise scenarios.
  • 2+ years' experience performing risk evaluation.
  • 4+ years' experience developing and implementing disaster recovery plans OR continuity of operations plan (COOP).
    8+ year experience developing and implementing technology and technical process recovery strategies.
  • Understanding of BCM plan development and testing best practices and processes.
  • Understanding of the industry best practices and standards. General information technology (IT)knowledge.
  • Ability to work with IT on analysis and solutions
  • Project management experience, a plus.
  • Experience using Business Continuity Planning software (eBRP, LDRPS, etc).

Certifications:

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) (Plus)
