Description
My client a large global brand is looking for an experienced Subsurface Data Manager on an initial contract basis. The roles requires a solid knowledge of geoscience and engineering data types in use in the upstream E&P business, and specifically well data, including well and wellbore header data, directional surveys, checkshots, RFTs, DSTs, logs and curves, lithology, stratigraphy, core, completion headers, volumes, well tests, etc. Must be familiar with upstream E&P work processes and the physical meaning of the data and be able distinguish valid data from invalid data, to assess the reliability of data, and what can be done to correct and improve data quality.
Essentials:
- Experience with use of Petrel
- Understanding of relational database models
- Use of SQL to query, insert, update, and delete data from relational databases
- Experience with use of Geoframe (well management)
- Clear verbal and written communication skills with colleagues and with business explorationists
- >3 years' experience of working in upstream E&P environment
Desirables:
- Use Linux/windows tools and applications to prepare data for loading to relational databases
- Experience with use of Recall
- Experience with the use of ArcGIS
- Experience with use of Geoframe (project management)
- Experience with use of OpenSpirit.
