Firmware Engineer (Zigbee, Smart Metering)
Firmware engineer with Zigbee protocols and smart metering experience required for a growth orientated smart metering company based in Antwerp.
This is a long term contract (6 month rolling) with a rate of €55 to €65 per hour.
About the Position:
Our client is a leading innovator of smart metering communication hubs with a well-established customer base throughout Western Europe.
Meter manufacturers come to them for the latest in smart metering technology due to their proven reliability in the field for years.
They are a world class engineering team and are looking for a senior firmware engineer who can play a critical role in leading Embedded firmware development for their new products.
You will be required to develop IEEE 802 compliant firmware and provide technical leadership within the team.
You will also be expected define, design and develop communications hub technical requirements and product functionality.
Job Requirements:
Proven track record in Embedded firmware development
Experience developing firmware to IEEE 802 standards
Embedded C and C++ development
ARM Microcontroller experience
Experience with Embedded Kernels/RTOS (Embedded Linux)
Experience writing ultra-low-power and low footprint applications
Ability to debug firmware by diving into the hardware (probing, measuring, etc.)
System integration of complex multi-product systems
Previous experience in smart grid applications or utilities highly preferred
