Electronics Engineer, Analogue, Analog, SMPSU, Switch mode Power Supply, Power Electronics, EMC, £37 per hour, Colchester, Essex, South East
THE ROLE:
A leading Electronics business in Colchester, Essex who are recognised for there commercial communication system products have a requirement for an Electronic Design Engineer to join there team of 7 Electronic Engineer's for an initial 6 month contract role. The contract is expected to last at least 12 months.
You will be joining this project at the very beginning, as you embark on the design of a new product design for an American customer.
For this role you should have full product life cycle experience, working from design to EMC test and manufacture.
You should be able to demonstrate strong Analogue circuitry experience, and experience working with SMPSU (switch mode) power supplies.
Although my client is not looking for a SMPSU designer, you should be able to work your way around a Switch Mode Power Supply. You should have solid experience and knowledge of the currents flowing, designing the transformer and reducing the emissions from them.
If you are an Electronics Engineer who likes to work on a full life cycle project, has Analogue, Digital and SMPSU experience and worked to EMC certification then this will be an exciting opportunity for you. Experience liaising with client's customers is desirable but not essential.
This role is commutable from Colchester, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Felixstowe, Chelmsford and Cambridge.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Analogue/Analog circuitry
- Designing to EMC certification
- Low Power Design/SMPSU/DC - DC (Switch mode Power Supply knowledge)
- Full product life cycle experience
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Embedded Microprocessor experience ( 8, 16 or 32 bit )
- Digital circuitry experience
- Experience liaising with clients customers
