Description
Leading global news organization is looking for a Senior Designer to join their creative team and support the needs of corporate communications, strategic marketing, product design and advertising. You must proven web design, UX, interactive design and print design experience and be able to solve complex design challenges in a fast-paced team environment. A deep understanding of brand identity and guidelines is critical. This position is located in New York City.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design layouts for print and web that best support strategic marketing goals
- Prepare files for print production and web development
- Help ensure consistency and excellence in branding
- Design and develop web pages and templates (flat HTML and within an enterprise level CMS)
- Design and develop animated banners and interactive marketing content
- Work with product design teams helping design UI's for new products and incremental revisions to existing products
Requirements
- Online portfolio that clearly demonstrates solid print and web design skills
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field
- At least two years' experience as a designer
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
- Proficiency in web standards and best practices
- HTML5/CSS skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Engaging personality with a positive attitude, no matter what the challenge
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
