Description
This position is for a SQL Server Developer to analyse, design, build and test the new platform during all phases of the software development lifecycle. The candidate must be able to drive database design from business and functional requirements; implement structured, high-performing database code; tune large databases; support all test phases and provide 2nd-level production support for live applications.Main Duties
- Work closely with technical leads and developers to design and implement SQL Server solutions.
- Troubleshoot performance and functional problems on development, testing and production environments.
- Drive database design from business and functional requirements. Write technical specifications and support documentation.
Requirements
- Expert SQL Server developer with 5+ years experience including relational database design; DDL; TSQL; stored procedures; partitioning and performance tuning.
- Experienced working with large databases (~800GB). Proven track record of producing high-performance databases via tuning and optimisation.
- General understanding of the finance markets and financial products, including 2+ years experience working with trading/front office systems; Credit Risk; Market Risk or Regulatory Reporting systems.
- Excellent understanding of the full SDLC
