A financial firm in Chicago(downtown) is currently looking for a full time, contract employee to join their technology team for a long term contract opportunity. They are looking for a QA analyst specifically with Selenium and Automation testing and trading/ financial services experience. No relocation assistance is available.The company is rapidly expanding and quickly becoming an industry leader. The successful candidate will be joing the QA team on projects related to the automated trading interfaces. Testing responsibilities include API functionality and business logic related to order flow and trade booking. You will need to have a strong background and knowledge of all aspects of application testing (unit, component, regression, systems integration, functional and UAT).
This role requires frequent interaction with developers, product managers, and client support analysts in order to ensure that we deliver a quality-trading platform to our users. Responsibilities include:
* Be the QA focal point of all new development
* Strong background in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy and test cases
* Strong background in reviewing business and functional requirements in order to produce a test strategy and test cases
* Report and manage software issues and test activities throughout the software development life cycle
* Work closely with other QA department members as well as the development team to create/maintain the automated regression scripts
* Local candidater are preferred
