JOB DESCRIPTION: Progress 4GL Developer
As the unrivalled global market leader in their industry, with extensive global growth plans being put into practice right now an excellent opportunity have arisen for a Senior 4GL Developer for the Bank IT team in their Cork office.
My client is a World leading corporate financial organisation with an excellent reputation in the market place and is investors in people. Due to further expansion and a number of new projects kicking off right now they now require an additional Progress Developer for their team. The successful person will have proven experience in Progress GUI 4GL and will now be looking for a new challenge.
The role requires involvement in the complete development lifecycle, from defining and discussing requirements with both internal and external customers, to the ultimate delivery and ongoing support of the solution.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The candidate must work with the development team to fix bugs and work on enhancement requests to large projects.
- Provide application support and communicate with a large user base from various departments and business units.
- The candidate must be a team player, flexible and enjoy problem solving as well as assisting users on support issues.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Minimum 10 years of Project experience and at least minimum of 3 years experience working on a single large project.
- Must have at least 5 years of experience in Progress Application Server Development and must have CGUI Development experience.
- Should have proven track record of database fine tuning, identifying bad queries and DBA skills will be an added advantage.
Salary:
