Mechanical Engineer
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Modification of installed base complex electro-mechanical sub-systems and purchased assemblies to meet system level Design Specifications with emphasis in the fields of plastics, and non-magnetic metal fabrications. Requires disciplined execution of engineering change control processes as defined by the quality management system.
The work may include thermal and structural analysis, prototype builds and testing and close supplier engagement to facilitate a smooth production transfer.
Work directly with different business functions to meet serviceability, functional and manufacturability requirements.
Coordinate procurement of prototype material as well as oversee the build and verification of design.
Successful designs will meet the product performance and cost targets while demonstrating superior reliability and manufacturability.
