Operations Manager 12 Month Contract Competitive Package OPPORTUNITY AT SULLOM VOE POWER STATION SHETLANDFortum O&M (UK) Ltd is responsible for delivering the Operations & Maintenance services of the Power Station at Sullom Voe Oil Terminal, Shetland. The Power Station comprises of 4 x 25 MW Gas Turbine units, Waste Heat Boilers and Auxiliary Boilers and other utilities for delivery to the Oil Terminal and electricity to the Shetland Grid.
The priority is to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the power station. Additionally, you will implement and monitor objectives and targets in line with the annual plan and provide effective communication within the department and across the power station.
Management responsibility will be for the operational department consisting of a team of 20 personnel and for ensuring that power station availability and efficiency is maximised through effective operational planning and equipment availability. You will be responsible also for the Permit Control team to ensuring site Health and Safety and ISSOW compliance is maintained at all times.
This key role within the management team calls for an experienced, qualified manager with a proven track record of managing at senior level within the power industry or a similar process environment.
The appointment will be on the basis of a 12 month contract; a competitive salary will be offered and the package will include assistance with accommodation if required.
