Description
Optical Design Engineers are required by a global market leader in the manufacture of advanced technology systems for the semiconductor industry. These systems are used by the major semiconductor manufacturers to create integrated circuits that power an array of electronic, communications and IT products. Optical Engineers will be based in The Netherlands on a long term contract basis.As an Optical Design Engineer in the Extreme UltraViolet (EUV) department you will play a key role in high-level tool specification and tool design for future generation scanners. Working within a fast paced, multi-disciplined environment with cutting edge technology.
Optical Design Engineer main responsibilities
* To specify, design and validate wafer scanners` optical system functionality
* Functionality design, specification and qualification
* Test specifications, performance and reporting
* Extensive analysis of performance data
Educational Background
* MSc or PhD in applied Physics or Chemistry
Essential Skills and Experience
* Previous experience in a multi-disciplined environment
* Knowledge of optical measurement systems
* Excellent English language skills are required
* A self starter who can demonstrate personal and technical leadership capabilities and have the potential to develop into a Senior Engineering position.
