Our client is looking for a qualified QlikView BI Developer to help with a QlikView implementation. You should be familiar with all aspects of QlickView including QlickView Developer (QVD) and QlickView Server (QVS). You will be familiar with refining customer requirements and working to streamline the Front End applications with the Back End server using QlikView proprietary QVP protocol. You will be responsible for developing the dashboard and apps, working with business analysts and business users to define the requirements and keep all parties up tyo speed with the application creation process. You will be familiar with how to extend and enhance existing apps to meet changing business needs, integrating new data sources, customise visualisations and images. You should also be aware of the common development issues and how to solve them and provide the client appropriate consultancy to ensure the success of the project.
Because the system is to be deployed within the finance department a good background in accounting and general bookkeeping would be ideal. Extra attention will be paid to candidates with extra consideration given to those with a BI development background in the insurance sector.
Essential skills:
- Strong BI Development experience
- Detailed knowledge of QlikView - (QVD, QVS, QVP, QVW, etc)
- Experience developing within complex financial systems
- Insurance industry knowledge.
The above skills are considered a pre-requisite for the role.
