Description
IT Manager ( MCSE/VMware/ERP) FT CONTRACT role - GLASGOWMy client based in Glasgow is currently seeking an IT Manager on a contract basis to cover long term leave. The successful candidate must have previously worked as an IT Manager ( 1-3 yrs). Applicants must have "hands-on" skills in addition to management capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manages the windows and other systems some travel might be involved (30% approx)
- Write up and manage ISO -IT Security Policies and Procedures.
- Supervise and motivate the IT Department.
- Support the system administrator/analyst for vacation relief.
- Support elevated issues from the System Administrator/Analyst
- Manage the IT related purchases.
- Maintain legitimate licenses on all installed applications.
- Design and implement IT projects relevant to the growth.
- Maintain and monitor the IT department budget.
- Continuous computer and software start-ups and upgrades where necessary.
- Supports users with all computer related issues.
- Manage all telecommunications hardware and software in all facilities.
Qualifications:
- Successful candidate must have an MCSE and Cisco network certs with at least 1-3 yrs Supervisory experience with 5 + years of Systems/Network Administration experience.
- Proficient in network designs, WAN, VPN and concepts.
- Proficient use of Microsoft servers, applications including: MS Office, Project, Visio, Exchange Server, SQL Server
- Proficient in supporting applications including: backup system, Nortel phone system preferred, Anti-malware software, VMware, Time and Attendance systems, Access control system
- Proficient knowledge of ERP system concepts and framework.
- Proficient knowledge of Business Intelligent system and data-mining.
- Computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
