A technology power house are looking for a Websphere Consultant for an initial 6 month contract based in Berkshire.The Websphere consultant will be installing, configuring and managing all the Application systems, management and infrastructure applications ensuring high availability throughout lifecycle. Providing proactive management.
Technical Skills
* Advanced knowledge of Application Servers using Network Deployment and Clustered configuration
* Advanced knowledge of Content Management and Workflow solutions.
* Advanced knowledge of Message Queue services.
* Advanced knowledge of J2EE, Application server side support.
* Good knowledge of Web Services (IIS, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, Tomcat).
* Good knowledge of Windows (WIN7, 2008, 2003), LAN, and basic TCP-IP networking skills.
* Good Knowledge of ITIL framework.
* Basic knowledge of VMware ESXi 4.0 and Virtual Infrastructure Client.
* Basic knowledge of .Net Application Administration (deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting).
* Basic knowledge around enterprise Wide Backup and Monitoring Systems.
* Basic knowledge of MS Clustering and SAN Storage technologies.
* Basic knowledge of Monitoring tools (Quest Foglight, HP Insight Manager, MS PerfMon)
* Basic Knowledge of Database architecture (Oracle, MS SQL).
Responsibilities:
* 99.6% uptime on Business critical channels as per the monthly report from Service Delivery.
* Successful implementation of new releases and patches.
* Documentation of all production and non-production systems
* Successful IT and Business Disaster Recovery Tests measured as per SLA.
* Measure on number of incidents a year directly relating to the Applications team.
* Incident and Problem management lifecycle followed during an incident.
