I have an exciting new role for a subsea design verification engineer to join my clients team in the Aberdeenshire area. They are a global service company who deal with subsea equipment.Day to day duties will include:
- Design verification
- Modification and overhaul packages for customer equipment
- Risk and failure analysis
- Attend design reviews
- Design calculations to verify and produce design packages
- Write repair schemes
- Fault tree analysis
- Liaise with sales and manufacture department to provide technical support
- Provide engineering support of installed subsea production equipment and surface wellhead equipment
- Check and approve layout and detail drawings
Experience needed:
- BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent discipline)
- Knowledge of materials, welding and heat treatment
- Working knowledge or systems, procedure and other departments within the company
- Experience and knowledge working with subsea production equipment knowledge
- Mechanically biased
- Knowledge of design theory
- Industry standards and design codes
This is a mechanical based role and my client are looking for someone who has strong design experience, they are ideally looking for someone who has strong contracting experience working within the subsea sector.
