Quality Engineer Medical Devices Continuous Improvement

My client is a leading and highly innovative medical devices company and due to their continued growth they are looking to further expand and hire an additional quality engineer.

Responsibilities / Duties of the quality engineer:
Support Quality & Environmental System maintenance and development across the business.
Head up the Continuous Improvement (CI) function within the company, coordinating & supporting all such activity within and between all departments.
Take on business improvement objectives, supported as necessary by the various department heads, and drive to completion.
At all times, remain part of relevant cross functional teams involved in CI.
Work & report on CAPA, PAR, MRB, customer complaint activities, keeping a CI focus at all times.
Identify Quality System updates required as part of all CI activity, and supporting the execution of such updates.
Provide input to all environmental issues in accordance with ISO 14001, undertaking environmental impact assessments, data collection, analysis, interpretation & reporting of same.
Initiate all environmental site work, liaising with various department heads, maintain overview and ultimate responsibility for tasks assigned by/to members of the team.
Liaise with other departments as required as part of day-to-day activities with a natural focus on Quality & Environmental requirements.

Requirements of the quality engineer:
Third level qualification in Quality Assurance / Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 3 years in a similar role in the medical device industry
Knowledge of ISO9001 / ISO 13485 and ISO14001 essential
Knowledge of Lean Principles and execution of same beneficial
