Main day to day duties
- Reviewing and approving supplier welding, coating and NDE documentation in accordance with international standards and customer requirements.
- Regular liaison with suppliers and customers to discuss and resolve technical issues, manufacturing queries, procurement queries with respect to welding procedures etc.
- Assist in the preparation and approval of Procedural Instructions and Codes of Practice.
- Providing general support to other materials engineers.
- Some UK and overseas travel may be required.
Essential:
- Travel experience and experience working on different sites.
- Materials background
- Degree qualified or equivalent.
- Familiar with various standards ie ASME, NORSOK etc
- Prior experience with Oil and Gas Sector
Desirable
- Equipment and industry familiarity - Subsea.
- Construction/manufacturing background.
