Position Summary
Major IT Services Company and Microsoft Gold Partner are seeking a Senior Technical Consultant with experience designing and deploying Microsoft System Center solutions in enterprise environments. This position requires candidates to possess a high degree of professionalism, exceptional interpersonal skills and technical aptitude across the Microsoft Systems Centre management product suite. The Technical Consultant will be responsible for leading the customer interaction, project scoping, technical design and delivery of Microsoft System Center solutions (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, SCSM, etc.).
Required Skills and Experience
3+ years experience working with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2007 or Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 - including architecting and implementing complex designs.
3+ years experience working with Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2007 or Microsoft Operations Manager (MOM) 2005 - including architecting and implementing complex designs.
Deep knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and experience with automation of Operating System Deployment through scripts and customizations.
Strong project management abilities (issues management, team collaboration, schedule, scope, etc.)
Exceptional documentation skills and attention to detail for documentation (design documentation, processes/procedures, etc.)
Ability to balance technical value with customer perception and satisfaction, and to balance value-add feature delivery with scope and schedule
Desired Experience and Skills
Ability to design and develop queries and reports (ie against SCCM 2012, SCOM) in TSQL and SQL Reporting Services
SCOM Management Pack development experience (at XML level)
Experience working with a wider array of System Center solutions including Opalis, Service Manager, SCVMM, etc.
Experience with virtualization solutions including VMware vSphere/vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V/SCVMM
Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop - Citrix certifications a plus
Experience with VMware vSphere
Application packaging experience and knowledge and understanding of packaging tools (Wise, AdminStudio, etc.)
