SC Cleared Repair Manager/SC Cleared Project Manager

Skills needed: SC clearance/willing and eligible to gain clearance, Engineering knowledge, and knowledge of Army equipments and support systems.

My Andover based client is looking for a SC Cleared Repair Manager/SC Cleared Project Manager. This role will be based in three main areas which are Andover, Bovington and Donnington.

Please note that this is working with an SC cleared client, so SC clearance is needed prior to start date.

The SC Cleared Repair Manager/SC Cleared Project Manager will be overseeing the management of Repair Activity which includes:
Engineering support of designated mechanical/electronic/electrical systems and assemblies. Establishing the present and future global workload. Allocating the work and for the in-year load monitoring progress and ensure the successful fulfilment of customer requirements. To ensure the work is completed to all the required standards and within the delegated financial authority. The initiation of the technical evaluation of contracts and their management to completion. Ensuring correct delivery timescales, best value for money and strict control of funds allocated. To support the customer with regard to QAR activities as appropriate, as described in Business Process Instructions (BPI's) in order to assist in identifying and addressing technical risks.
The responsibilities for the SC Cleared Repair Manager/SC Cleared Project Manager

Will be:
Project Management of the repair of repairable assemblies either within Industry or the client's Workshops.
Establishing present and future Global workload, allocating the work for in-year load, monitoring progress and taking the necessary action to ensure successful completion in line with the customer's requirements.
Ensuring work is undertaken to the required quality standards in an economical and efficient manner in accordance with Programmes, Repair Orders, Contracts and delegated Financial Powers.
Initiation and technical evaluation of contracts and their management to completion, ensuring delivery on time, quality and best value for money whilst exercising strict control of funds allocated.
Liaise with customer to ensure compliance with their repair policies, Service Level Agreements and any special requirements, ensuring any funding requirements have been identified.

Essential: Qualifications appropriate to the grade in Engineering discipline, (minimum ONC or equivalent SNCO forces background). Possess a sound and practical Engineering knowledge, and knowledge of Army equipments and support systems.

Desirable: HNC or above in an Engineering discipline. Have knowledge of equipment managed and of Army Static Workshops and have sound practical engineering experience.
