GIS Spatial Asset Capture Officer
3 month contract
North Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Location

A newly created, 3 month contract opportunity exists for a GIS Officer to join this large scale Utilities Organisation based in North Brisbane.

The GIS Officer will be required to create and update data capture procedures and ensure the integrity of data entered in to the system is of high standard.

Key Responsibilities of the GIS Officer will be as follows;

Use GIS to create and update water, sewer, and recycled water assets in accordance with data capture procedures
Ensure the integrity of data entered into the system
Liaise with project managers, field staff, and others to track down missing information and enter in the system
Complete the backlog of outstanding jobs through the QA/QC process
Plan, estimate effort, monitor and report on progress
Use CAD systems where necessary to view information

To be successful for this role you will require the following key experience and skills;

ESRI ArcGIS v9 or 10;
AutoCAD (querying); and
ArcFM (preferable).
Thorough knowledge and appreciation of water/sewer/recycled water utility assets.
Demonstrated experience with spatial asset data capture and QA/QC processes
Well developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, service providers, management, Information
Ability to work autonomously to achieve outcomes, yet successfully work within and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
Demonstrated skills and experience in customer service with a strong focus on addressing customer needs and proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
