My client, a leading financial services organisation, is looking for a Presentation Design Assistant for a 3 month contract role based in Manchester.

Description of role

We are currently looking for a Presentation Design Assistant with excellent PowerPoint skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be offering creative support on the design of internal and external PowerPoint presentations for executive level clients. You will occasionally help with designing various bespoke graphics, therefore proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop and experience in creating vector graphics is a huge advantage.

Your main duty will be assisting and supporting internal clients in creating professional PowerPoint packs and presentations, enhancing them visually, making creative improvements on complex graphical slides and taking responsibility for ensuring consistency and quality of each and every pack. A good understanding of being 'on brand' is needed, as is attention to detail.

To apply, you must:

  • Be an advanced user of PowerPoint 2010 (eg bespoke formatting, template design and creating custom themes), Photoshop and Illustrator competency is highly advantageous
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, quality control and consistency in your work
  • Be creatively driven and demonstrate creative flair
  • Have a good understanding of material production methods and techniques, typography, theory of design, digital colour values and illustration techniques
  • Ability to work in a confidential and sensitive manner is crucial to this role

Key activities/decision areas:

  • Enhance presentations and graphical slides to a high level of detail and with consistency
  • Support the Presentation Design Specialist in ensuring consistency and quality control in the production of presentations and materials
  • Work under author and design specialist direction to make corrections and formatting changes in presentations and graphic deliverables
  • Assist in producing clear graphical data and presentations of the highest quality and delivered on time consistently
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure standards of presentations within the programme
  • Improve presentation standards by maintaining a slide library
  • Have a flexible and professional approach to work
  • Strong interpersonal skills, must be proficient in establishing strong relationships with clients and peers
  • Used to working under pressure and for a demanding team
  • Manages own time, pro-actively manages workload effectively and ensures deadlines are met with minimal supervision
