PLC Controls Engineer - Leicester - Urgent - International Engineering Company
My client a global engineering company are looking for two Electrical/Control Engineers for their East Midland branch.
Required Skills:
- Will have developed PLC code and built PLC systems for Siemens S7 PLC solutions
- Will be a design engineer with several years experience of designing automation control systems from start to finish including writing functional design specifications; developing new PLC code; and building, testing and implementing PLC software solutions
- Will have worked as part of a multidiscipline design team, working collectively to deliver a 'system'
* Be qualified to at least HNC level in an appropriate subject and with a minimum of three years relevant experience.
* Have a good knowledge and understanding of PLC software for plant control and experience of producing software for Schneider (Modicon) and/or Siemens S7 PLCs.
* Have a good knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering for medium and low voltage power distribution, instrumentation and related cabling, panel design for motor starters and PLC systems etc.
* Be capable of demonstrating a structured approach to justifying key engineering decisions.
* Be able to work under own initiative, be well motivated and enthusiastic, with the ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines within the design/project team. Engineers will be required to interface with the client and other project partners at all levels.
* Have good personal planning, organisational and analytical skills.
* Be capable of working to challenging programme and budgetary constraints.

Desirable Skills and Qualifications
* A degree in electrical/electronic engineering together with chartered status or the potential to acquire chartered status
A knowledge of any of the following: -
* Other brands of PLC including Rockwell
* FactoryLink and InTouch SCADA packages
* A working knowledge of AutoCad.
* Experience of working to quality assurance systems certified to ISO9001.
* Experience of complex baggage handling system designs
