Description
The ideal person for this role will have a strong background in building Rails applications, with a mind towards scalability and maintainable code. You will have an understanding of the nuances of Ruby in general, and feel just as comfortable building something from scratch as you do working in the support of a framework. The ideal candidate will have these descriptors: A fiend for well documented,well tested, and well factored code An understanding of the importance of metrics from production systems A strong background in optimizing code that isn’t performing as well as it should be Expert knowledge of Ruby and Rails Very comfortable doing full-stack web development Strong knowledge of MySQL Ability to architect scalable web services Experience working on large-scale web applications Avid follower of the technology industry and current technology/web-related trends In-depth knowledge of scalability, systems engineering and design patterns Great product sense and excellent technical judgement and architecture experience Preference will be given to candidates who also fit these criteria: Strong JavaScript and HTML5 skills Experience with relational databases other than MySQL, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB Please provide a resume, and/or a link to some public examples of your work (such as a GitHub profile) and a short letter explaining your experience.
