My Global Gambling/betting firm in London seeks experienced Senior Java engineer’s to join the “engine room” of the company in the well regarded payments team. This team handles every single transaction from every product they have. Their leading product has 5.2 million users and handled £2 billion in cash bets alone in 2012! As a Senior Java engineer you will be responsible for production of high quality, maintainable code and to work on highly scalable applications.Key Skills: Essential
• Experience with:
o Core Java development
o Multithreading, Concurrency
o Spring framework including Spring IOC/JDBC
o JSP, XML, XSL and XSLT
o Unit testing frameworks (JUnit) and unit testing practices
o Concurrent programming and threading
o Database development e.g. MongoDB, noSQL
o Maven, Subversion
o ActiveMQ/Camel or similar
o Linux command shell
o Exposure to payment gateways
• Embrace agile software engineering practices and tools; TDD, Continuous Integration etc.
• Understanding of software development life-cycle, Agile software design principles and build processes
• Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and with limited supervision
• Can deliver results within set deadlines
Key Skills: Desirable
• Working on high-volume websites
• Experience in gaming industry a plus
• University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
