As the Manager, Operations Risk Assurance, you will:- Provide oversight, guidance and challenge to first line of defence activity in relation to claims risk
- Develop, document and implement appropriate second line of defence effectiveness reviews across the company in respect of first line of defence assessments of operational risk
- Develop an annual review plan that reaches across all relevant business areas and which is formulated using relevant Management Information and agreed by the Executive Committee and Board Risk Committee, and to execute activity in accordance with that plan
- Ensure that effectiveness review activity is conducted utilising appropriate methodology, intelligence gathering and other relevant tools
- Maintain effective working relationships with relevant first and second lines of defence areas to promote and improve the perception of Risk & Compliance's value in the organisation
- Provide oversight of process of the first line of defence input into the CEC; provide challenge as to whether the CEC ratings and certificates are supported by appropriate evidence (including risk based assurance activities, where appropriate)
- Provide advice and guidance on changes in Risk appetite and support 1 LoD teams in building strong control environment
- Assist other teams to develop ongoing capability, performance and engagement of in support of the delivery of Risk & Compliance's strategy
- Ensure that the company has an appropriate framework to support the appropriate and timely identification and mitigation of Risk & Compliance issues
