Reports to: Proposals Manager

Key Relationships: SLT, Project Delivery Team, Financial Team, Engineering Team, Operations Team, HSEQ Team, HR Business Partner, Clients, and Sub-contractors

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop a solution to address the complete enquiry and engage competent persons within the company to ensure technical, HSE, contractual, etc sections are fully reviewed and agreed

* Arrange technical and commercial bid meetings as necessary

* Clarify requirements with client

* Assess resource availability in respect of individual enquiries

* Responsible for preparation of pricing and budget, including costing resources, verification of resource requirements and scheduling

* Responsible for preparation of technical and commercial qualifications and ensuring these are incorporated in proposal

* Co-ordinate (or prepare) the physical elements of the proposal, ensuring such meets with client requirements or is suitably qualified

* Responsible for issue of RFQ's to subcontractors and analysis of their response as appropriate

* Undertake post submission clarification of proposal and revisions to proposal following changes to client's requirements

* Undertake pre-award negotiations with client

* Conduct internal briefings as necessary

* Responsible for ensuring contract is reflective of what has been agreed with the client/included in the proposal

* Conduct handover briefing to project delivery team upon contract award and ensure effective transfer of key issues, contacts and risks

* Actively participate in lessons learned exercises and ensure applicable lessons are effectively incorporated into future proposals General assistance to colleagues, where such can be given, to allow their work to progress efficiently, providing information/advice/training, etc. on request

* Any other duties as directed from time to time

Key Measurements:

* Pursuit of Company goals- i.e. to maintain profitable workload, to maintain utilisation levels at or above targets, develop the standing of the company within the established market and expose new clients to company's capabilities

* Work in strict accordance with the policies, processes and procedures and demonstrate such.

* Ensure complete understanding, familiarisation and compliance with the company's Quality Assurance and Safety Management Systems through provision of timely documentation and according to internal and external audits

* Assuring the commercial integrity of each project with respect to profit, risk, commercial exposure, long/short term strategy, and market rates. Demonstrated via adherence to process and project close-out report

* Ensuring proposals are accurate, well presented and issued on time

* Cultivating good working relationships with clients through personal contact.

* Strong leadership and willingness to impart knowledge

* Financial and contractual awareness coupled with sound commercial judgement

* Ability to anticipate and resolve problems effectively

* Technically proficient with an understanding of subsea market

Experience:

* Demonstrable experience in a similar offshore industry role, preferably in Marine Engineering and Construction, in particular flexibles, flowlines, risers, umbilicals
