Systems Administrator - Immediate Start

Our Client is an established organisation within Tasmania supporting a large User base from Hobart in smaller offices across the State.

The opportunity exists for an experienced systems administrator/engineer to support their infrastructure in an initial contract capacity with the genuine potential to extend past the initial 6 or so week period.

Your role will involve systems administration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting network issues, implementing solutions, documentation and project work. A considerable backlog of pending issues and requests has built up to to the current focus on project work as opposed to BAU.

To be considered for this role role you must be an extremely experienced and enthusiastic proven level 2, more likely level 3 administrator, who shows sufficient drive and initiative to work autonomously with little need for hand holding.

 Wintel Server server implementation and Administration
 Microsoft Exchange - Active Directory
 SQL Server operation maintenance, DR, Performance and tuning
 VMWare ESX and SAN Technology experience
 Thorough knowledge of security policies and procedures
 Excellent verbal and written skills
 MCSA/MCSE or other industry recognised qualifications
 Minimum 5+ years experience working in IT infrastructure

This role is available for an immediate start, the initial contract period is 6 weeks with genuine extension opportunities (we have a number of resources within this Client site who have surpassed the 12 month period). The role is based in Hobart.
