Subsea Operations Engineer

My client has an immediate requirement for 2 Subsea operations Engineers.

This is an excellent opportunity to work along side genuine industry leading experts in an already extremely successful consultancy. The successful candidates can be employed on either a staff or Contract basis, depending on preference.

Valid right to work in the UK essential.

My client is a multi-discipline engineering consultancy servicing the oil and gas industry. The position is within the Subsea Operations Group which is part of the my clients Subsea Business Unit. The subsea BU currently employs around 1000 engineers worldwide.

Job Description:
Subsea Operations Engineer (International) can be utilized for all aspects of engineering organisation but specifically assigned as a project engineer within the Subsea Operations business delivery business unit which provides subsea asset management support to operators in UK and Overseas. The role is primarily supporting IRM for existing assets on long term contracts but may also involve support to CAPEX projects.

Reporting lines and interactions:
Reports to: Lead Subsea Operations Engineer and Subsea Operations Manager

Directly supervises:
Less experienced Project Engineers/Graduate Engineers

Interfaces with:
Integrity and controls engineers working within the subsea operations business unit

Key Responsibilities:
*Manage packages of work as agreed with Lead Engineer./Subsea Operations Manager
*Develop subsea engineering deliverables for work packages, typically isolation procedures.
*Perform engineering studies and develop cost estimates for work packages for approval, obtaining third party input where necessary.
*Monitor delivery & comment on third party technical deliverables, typically diving/ROV execution type procedures.
*Identify purchasing requirements for work packages in a timely manner and develop requisitions to support purchases.
*Manage purchases and third party contracts as necessary to perform the work.
*Manage work package expenditure and commitments.
*Ensure that the impact/interaction of any offshore works are considered with other asset activities.
*Participate in onshore Safety Review/HAZID/Risk Assessment activities as part development of the work package.
*Ensure work package data/deliverables are compiled and filed in accordance with contract procedures.
*Represent client offshore during Interventions and ensure work scopes are performed to an acceptable standard.
*Provide project engineering support to execute projects from design through to offshore execution.
*Responsible for end of project close out reporting.
*Participate in providing Technical and operational support for Oil Company operators as and when required both in UK sectors and overseas.
*Use my clients Business Management systems and forms to provide the work in a uniform format.

Skills Required (Background, experience and qualifications):
Essential:
*Subsea Operations Engineer will normally have spent time previously working with a Subsea Contactor engaged in IRM projects and be familiar with Subsea operations & equipment.
*Have had a prior involvement in underwater engineering operations project process from concept to completion.
*A minimum 5 years relevant subsea engineering experience is preferred.
*Create high quality scope outlines, procedures and reports
*Valid Offshore survival and Offshore Medical Certificate.
*Valid passport
*Engineering Degree.
