The Fixed Income business at a major investment bank has an opportunity for a technically astute Support Analyst with excellent client facing skills to assume a position within their electronic bond trading support team. Your primary responsibility will be to support a number of traders across debt business lines such as government & credit bonds and electronically traded debt derivatives.
You will come from a Front Office application support background within a business that utilises a myriad of different applications on top of a complex trading infrastructure. Your tech background will be biased toward Unix and you will possess strong SQL database skills (preferably on Oracle/Sybase).
You will have a good understanding of supporting systems within highly distributed environments where applications are written in different languages (eg Java, C#, C++). You will also have experience of supporting electronic Fixed Income trading systems such as ION Marketview/Tradeweb etc.
You will be a keen team player and thrive in fast-paced and demanding Front Office support roles. An in-depth understanding of the full trade life cycle from a support perspective, excellent prioritisation skills and the ability to face off to traders in a calm and professional manner is essential.
