A large Australian Financial Institution looking for an experienced Senior Applications DBA to join their expanding team.
This role is very technical/hands-on and will require a deep understanding of the R12 eBusiness Suite to also assist leading a small implementation team. Excellent communication is key due to the nature of engagement with senior stake holders.
You will be working with some of the most amazingly skilled and "best of breed" piers in the industry.
Required Skills:
- DBA support of an Oracle eBusiness Suite 11i and R12
- Oracle Application Server Support 10g and IDM
- Oracle database support 11gR2
Advanced to Expert level technical experience within:
- Oracle RAC and ASM
- Dataguard
- OEM
- IDM and SSO
- Workflow Mailer
- Concurrent Manager tuning
- Maintenance of the Applications Technology stack including all of its components
- Implementation or upgrade skills of an eBusiness Suite environment to R12
- Refreshing/Cloning
- Performance tuning
- Backup & Recovery concepts
- Administration of an eBusiness Suite environment (SYSADMIN tasks)
- AIX and Linux (or Unix in general)
- 5-10 years of eBusiness Suite application experience
Required non-technical experience:
- Outstanding communication skills: The Oracle Applications DBA must interface with the end-user community and must have university-level communications skills, being able to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
- Team lead skills
- Time management and coordination skills
- Providing thought-leadership
- Enthusiastic, inspiring, friendly with leadership abilities
- All of the above could be summarised with Excellent Consulting skills
- Functional eBusiness Suite experience would help useful though not essential.
- OCP or OCM is preferred but not required
This is a great opportunity to join a leader in their field. The initial contract will be for 12 months and is very likely to extend for another 12.
