Description
Responsibilities- Leads the development and implementation of the purchasing strategy for specified sub-categories
- Negotiates contracts and lowest Total Cost of Ownership for sub-categories
- Develops strong understanding of the market and monitors competitive factors
- Leads, supports or coordinates cross-functional teams
- Optimizes supply base
- Assists Purchasing Directors in developing, implementing, and communicating the corporate-wide Purchasing strategy
- Establishes sub-category priorities based on benefits opportunities
- Follows P12 or RM introduction process for new sources or new raw material.
- Sets FLC and Budget value as per the process
- Works with suppliers on performance metrics (lead times, punctuality& quality performance)
- Leads supplier diversity initiatives for sub-category,
- Ensures contract terms are implemented and adhered to
- Delivers on raw materials budget
