Responsibilities
  • Leads the development and implementation of the purchasing strategy for specified sub-categories
  • Negotiates contracts and lowest Total Cost of Ownership for sub-categories
  • Develops strong understanding of the market and monitors competitive factors
  • Leads, supports or coordinates cross-functional teams
  • Optimizes supply base
  • Assists Purchasing Directors in developing, implementing, and communicating the corporate-wide Purchasing strategy
  • Establishes sub-category priorities based on benefits opportunities
  • Follows P12 or RM introduction process for new sources or new raw material.
  • Sets FLC and Budget value as per the process
  • Works with suppliers on performance metrics (lead times, punctuality& quality performance)
  • Leads supplier diversity initiatives for sub-category,
  • Ensures contract terms are implemented and adhered to
  • Delivers on raw materials budget
