Description
This individual will be on the team responsible for developing, validating, and calibrating engine emissions controls with aftertreatment systems.Responsibilities
- Performs SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) controls, diagnostics, system integration and validation.
- Supports aftertreatment programs with calibration/validation of innovative control strategies. This includes development and validation work with system tests on benches, engines, and vehicles and a focus on the implementation and data analysis of these validation plans.
SKILLS
- Must have at least a BS in Mechanical, Electrical, or General Engineering (MS preferred) with a strong emphasis in control theory, system dynamics, system modelling, and advanced algorithms.
- Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink development tools is required, and candidate must be capable of troubleshooting engine systems via PC based tools, standard lab instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Must be willing to get fully and immersively involved with engine system hardware, test engine controls in the lab and to think/act on problems outside their area of expertise.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team, have a systems engineering focus, and be motivated to meet/exceed goals.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, required.
