Responsibilities
  • Delivering assignments within specified time frames, adhering to all established methodologies, standards and guidelines individually or as a member of a project team.
  • Participate in requirements and design reviews to thoroughly understand business needs to ensure comprehensive testing scenarios are performed.
  • Apply defined QA Processes to plan, design, implement, execute, evaluate and report results of software testing under minimal supervision to ensure a quality product. Validate business requirements are fulfilled by the technical design and test scenarios.
  • Perform comprehensive testing to prevent introduction of application defects into Regression, End to End, Client and Production environments.
  • Report, monitor and verify application project defects as necessary.
  • Gain application knowledge to efficiently and effectively perform position responsibilities
  • Provide feedback on and suggestions for improving QA Processes to QA management

SKILLS

AS400 experience; Web Testing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
3-5+ years of demonstrated experience in application development (SDLC). 2+ years of testing experience using multiple technologies. Automation experience (developing, maintaining and executing automated scripts). Knowledge of and ability to apply a wide range of software test engineering concepts: testing principles and concepts, building a test environment, tracking defects and making corrections, and assessing testing status; tester's role in software development and acquisition, risk analysis, and acceptance testing; test management, planning processes, design, automation, performance & reporting. Minimum of 3+ years of in applying QA/QC concepts and techniques within one or more application development environment methodologies for object-oriented or Mainframe environments. Experience with Mercury suite of testing tools (Test Director, WinRunner, LoadRunner, Quick Test Pro). Other test tool experience preferred.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred. If no degree, then one additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained. High School Diploma or GED is a required.
