RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provide contributions to the Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution and to the enabling of a NEES simulation solution with the NEESComm project warehouse.
- Design, development, and testing of new features for the Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution system.
- Participate in the implementation of job memory accounting, testing, and integration.
- Improve building and packaging of the Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution service.
- Improve Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution building scripts - switch to ant or maven.
- Incorporating the Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution service in OSF Software Testing Framework.
- Come up with a comprehensive suite of tests for Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution that could be incorporated into the testing framework.
- Test the framework, provide documentation.
- Develop infrastructure for the accounting of resource usage on distributed campus grids.
- Develop effective Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution queries to show campus grid accounting, test and document them.
- Work with the Distributed Accounting and Usage Analysis Solution web team to incorporate these queries in webtool.
- Develop infrastructure for the accounting of resource allocation utilization by partner Grids.
- Improve the current queries to allow accounting of allocations throughout the system and not only from pre-defined submission nodes.
- Implement additional queries if needed. Test and document these improvements.
- Maintenance and bug fixes for the system.
- Attend meetings as applicable.
- Provide technical support to users.
- Contribute to the development and then integrate and test a demonstration example for ingestion of newly generated simulation data.
Bachelor's degree in Science with 3+ years of related working experience. Experience with development, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of highly distributed systems in Linux. Understanding of and experience with data analytics and interpretation. Solid knowledge of Java, python, and UNIX Shell Scripting, Web Services. Concrete knowledge of MySQL and familiarity with Hibernate framework. Experience in building systems, such as ant, Maven, and rpm packaging. Demonstrated ability to work independently and with only directions from a supervisor. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with Grid Middleware Systems, such as Condor or the Globus Toolkit, is a plus.
