Responsibilities
  • Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
  • Assist in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology.
  • Analyze business partner's operations to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions if applicable.
  • Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manage changes to such specifications.
  • Identify business, operational and technical tasks, scope, time constraints and task interdependencies. Lead walkthroughs of business requirements.
  • End-to-end ownership of projects and project planning activities in area of expertise and/or concurrent multiple for assigned team.
  • Participate in program design and code walkthroughs.
  • Review test plans and results.
  • Assist with the resolution of test incidents.
  • May provide guidance with the development of test plans as well as assist the business with development of user acceptance criteria.
  • Report out project status and impact analysis on an ongoing basis.
  • Demonstrates an informed knowledge of business area to resolve problems on an ongoing business.
  • Negotiate agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3+ years IT experience with focus on process methodologies and analytics.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to produce concise, clear, and complete business requirements.
  • Ability to prepare and deliver organized and understandable presentations to medium or large groups.
  • General expertise in the functional aspects of the processing system.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar is preferred. If no degree, then one additional year of experience is required for each year of college not attained.

SKILLS

Excel modelling skills:
Experience writing and auditing the vlookup & hlookup functions; Experience writing and auditing conditional functions such as If, Countif, Countifs, Sumif, Sum ifs, etc; Experience constructing and auditing Pivot tables; Experience with the linear programming and iterative calculation functions and add-ins such as Solver, What-If Tables, and Goal Seek; Experience with the Data Analysis tool pack add-in, especially the Regression tool; PowerPoint skills; Experience creating tables and graphs in native PowerPoint and ThinkCell. Database skills: Familiarity with the use of relational databases; Ability to write and run basic SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries in Access; Ability to write and run basic SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries in SQL; SAAS Database skills. Analytic skills: Familiarity with and experience calculating basic descriptive statistics such as mean, median, variance, standard deviation, and correlation; Experience constructing and running basic hypothesis tests such as T-tests and P-test; Experience constructing and running single and multivariate linear regressions and interpreting the results of those regressions.

Desired skills:
Advanced Excel and Access database skills; Ability to write Excel macros in VBA; Ability to implement conditional formatting; Ability to implement controls using the Development tab; Ability to construct and maintain relational databases in Access and SQL; Ability to construct and run complex queries in Access and SQL. Preferred candidate will have 4-5 years of quantitative analysis experience in a business setting, preferable in a Marketing or Finance setting. The data will be available, candidates must have strong skills and experience to manipulate data into desired formats.
