Synectics Inc. is a nationwide staff augmentation corporation with 250+ employees assigned to projects in a wide variety of industries in support of our Fortune 500 clients.
We are currently seeking a controller for our own office located in the Chicago Loop. This position is not for a client.
Job Responsibilities:
perform daily financial functions perform monthly bank reconciliation oversee A/R and A/P processes perform monthly financial reporting, including various performance and statistical reports prepare month-end and year-end close, including financial statement preparation according to GAAP maintain HR and payroll records for all purposes review timekeeping, commission calculations, vacation accruals for ADP payroll submission handle administration of 401(k) oversee insurance benefits and serve as liaison to brokers oversee corporate insurance and serve as liaison to brokers work directly with auditors work directly with bank personnel
Must have: Integrity and ethics beyond reproach Bachelor's degree 10+ years' relevant experience Expert proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel Experience using ADP payroll system Strong written and verbal communication
