We are seeking Implementation Specialist for 6 month+ contract position in Duluth, The Implementation Specialist is a technical member of the Implementation Team.  Travel time ranges from 80% to 100% usually week to week.

Job Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree (MIS, Computer Science, IST, Systems Engineering) or equivalent work experience
  • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Windows Client Operating Systems (XP, Win 7, Win 8)
  • Basic proficiency of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems )
  • Basic knowledge of PC hardware
  • Basic proficiency of MS SQL & SQL Server Management Studio
  • Basic proficiency of MS Office Products (w/emphasis on MS Excel & Outlook)
  • Basic knowledge of LAN technologies
  • Basic knowledge of wireless technologies
  • Basic knowledge of MS Visio
  • Must possess a positive attitude
  • Must be able to communicate technical information to nontechnical audiences (written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to train users with varying computer experience
  • Ability to quickly identify and solve problems
  • Career-minded with a strong work ethic
  • Must be self-sufficient yet work well as part of a team
  • Must possess valid state driver's license
  • % travel required
  • Previous customer training experience is a plus
  • Advanced SQL experience (ability to build & execute queries) a plus
  • Prior Retail IT/Food Service IT/Healthcare IT a plus
  • Computer Certification(s) (A+, NET+, MCP, MCSE) a plus
  • Valid passport and ability to perform long-term engagements a plus

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assumes overall accountability for a successful implementation phase for all assigned client projects.
  • Responsible for on-site implementation of  hardware, software and services

Client Management Responsibilities

  • Understands each client's daily processes and how the system can be used to meet the client's needs
  • Develops lasting relationships with client personnel that foster client loyalty.
  • Seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
  • Recommends solutions that will improve the client's efficiency and drive increased revenue

Technical Responsibilities

  • Capable of learning to install and configure hardware and software for at least one market segment with minimal assistance
  • In a hands-on fashion, ensures all technology solutions are properly installed & tested

Communication Responsibilities

  • Understands how to tactfully communicate difficult/sensitive information.
  • Delivers engaging, informative and well-organized training presentations.
  • Create an atmosphere of trust and open communication, through improving team sprit

Other Responsibilities

  • Helps define and disseminate technology best practices
  • Provides updated hardware and software configuration documentation updates to the Implementation
  • Engineer as new products and software revisions come available
