Responsibilities
  • Provides management for the support, availability, operation, and recoverability of production systems.
  • Supports end user needs. Includes production control, problem management, second- or third-level application production support, and other support for a variety of systems, such as OS390, data warehouse, Unisys, Unix, Linux, and PeopleSoft, among others.
  • Keeps the enterprise computing complex (usually Mainframe or server farm) responsive to end users needs, such as tape librarian and other storage-related duties.
SKILLS

Must have at least one year of Service Support experience; Financial Services experience desired. Must have general knowledge of pertinent systems: OS390, data warehouse, Unisys, Unix, Linux, and PeopleSoft. Experience working on internal facing applications required. Good troubleshooting and basic diagnostic skills are essential. Must have good verbal and written skills to provide clear, concise communication with project team members. Exposure to working with third parties is a must.
