Senior Software EngineerLocation: Central Dublin
A young and well founded startup company providing technology, marketing and distribution solutions to both education and leisure travel sectors is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with proficiency in Ruby or Ruby on Rails to join their team.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a young and dynamic startup based in Central Dublin and work with a group of talented individuals with an exceptional track record of delivering web applications and large scale/high traffic architectures. You will also join the team from the very early, so you get to contribute to the success of the company and shape how the brand will look.
Required skills:
Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills
Ability to solve problems quickly and completely
A solid understanding of object oriented design and design patterns
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment
Possess a positive attitude
Proven proficency in Ruby/Ruby On Rails, Javascript, Ajax
Ability to work both on front end and back end
Ability to implement solid user interfaces (HTML, CSS, JQuery)
Proficient with Git/GitHub/Git-Process
Write clear and easy-to-read code
Ability to write RSpec tests & and do TDD/BDD
Ability to learn quickly new techniques/libraries
You will work with a team of skilled developers, who have great experience designing and scaling high traffic applications, with the ability to learn and use cutting edge technologies and libraries.
