My client a multinational oil/gas/trading leading organisation is looking for a Finance Controller to join their team for an initial 6-12 months contract opportunity with possible extension in London.
The role is integral in providing financial analysis and reporting of the Corporate sector quarterly and full year results and associated planning MI.
The individual will be responsible for:
- Analysing and reporting the profit components within the Corporate business.
- The role also requires the individual to communicate and discuss the results with Group Reporting, Tax, Corporate Controller and Investor Relations and occasionally external auditors.
- The incumbent will work closely with the Business Units & Treasury to ensure that a robust Latest Estimate is derived on a regular basis. The LE is presented to and rationalised with senior management and Group Reporting.
- The candidate will be expected to provide input into the preparation and submission of the operational plan.
- The candidate will be required to work with the existing team members to maintain and update the quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows) derived from the Group Reporting system, taking into account any ongoing changes in the hierarchies and accounting guidelines.
The candidate must have the following skills:
- CA or ACA Qualified
- 1-4 years post qualified experience
- Big 4 Training will be an asset
- Analysis experience is an asset
- Motivated, self-starter who is enthusiastic and keen to take on responsibility and projects.
