This important role within the QA team is the last loop in the product chain which ensures that high quality products are being delivered to our customers.

This post calls for someone who is technical and quality oriented with a passion to improve the usability of software products. Reporting directly to the QA Team Manager, the selected individual is someone who is passionate about software and web testing with a keen eye for detail. Equally important in this role are strong organizational skills and the ability to integrate with multiple teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning, preparing, executing and reporting on tests on all aspects of the software product.

• Ensuring that the products comply with the required specifications, business requirements, acceptance criteria and agreed standards.

• Performing detailed analyses of test results, updating test cases accordingly as well as documenting results in a clear and concise manner based on business and technical needs.

• Assisting in the testing coverage using automated tools.

• Actively engaging in all projects to ensure appropriate test coverage.

• Identifying software bugs and working with the production team to see errors through to resolution.

• Assisting the QA Team Manager in managing the test-lab environment; hosting hardware and virtual machines required for testing purposes.

• Ensuring a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.

Required skills and experience:

• A minimum of two years working experience in a similar role, preferably having a Bachelors Degree of education in Information Technology or equivalent accreditation.

• Broad knowledge on computer hardware and different operating systems.

• Effectively balance curiosity about tests, test results and bugs within project constraints and timelines.

• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and analytical skills.

• An exceptional eye for detail coupled with an attentive, positive, cautious and observant attitude.

• Time Management skills to ensure that all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

• Experience using automated and bug tracking tools is considered as an advantage.
