Key Responsibilites:

  • The Unified Communications Technical Expert is responsible for the system deployments and upgrades of Cisco Unified Communications and Contact Centre technologies.
  • The Technical Expert will be perform integration of Cisco Unified Communications solutions with customer managed Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange Email, third party vendor solutions for call recording and WFM solution, as such must be able to provide technical advice and guidance to other team members, project Mangers and customers as required.
  • Design and Implementation of new customer solutions using the agreed tools & methodology and within agreed timeframes that meet contract and customer requirements.
  • Create and/or contribute to implementation plans, system testing, risk assessment and other documentation to drive standardisation and operational best practice within the group.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) function for the group and work with product integration to deliver process and work instructions for new products and for changes to existing products.

Key Requirements:

  • Commonwealth Government Security clearance - Baseline.
  • As a senior technical member of the Unified Communications (Cisco Voice + Data) delivery team the Technical Expert will have a minimum 5-10 years experience in a position responsible for design, configuration and operation of the Cisco Unified Communications portfolio, including in depth knowledge of the following products:
  • Unified Communications Manager; Unified Communications Manager Express and SRST; Unity Connection and Unity Express; Presence, CUCiMOC, CUCiLync and Jabber; MeetingPlace; TelePresence and Video Conferencing solutions; Contact Centre Express; Cisco Unified Compute System (UCS).
  • Strong knowledge of Routing and Switching in IP Networks, including multicast protocol, QoS, WAN and telecommunications carriage technologies is required.
  • Posses a expert knowledge of Data networking products, LAN/WAN/Wireless/IPTEL technologies, and IP Network planning and Design and associated infrastructure and technologies, Security, Firewall and Server Based Applications, Video Conferencing, Unified Communications and contact centres, Wireless LAN and Next G.
  • Experience in assurance/designing/implementing Cisco Networks and UC solutions is required.
  • Have a valid Cisco certification to at least CCNP/voice standard or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Leadership, self motivation and lateral thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions and have up to date knowledge on the latest industry trends and technology.
