Within the Sector Research Department, the credit research trainee is responsible for providing "Research" in a timely manner on a defined portfolio of companies, or on topical issues.
"Research" is broadly defined as fundamental analysis of an issuer or a sector expressed by a credit opinion and market recommendations, which ultimate goal is to be communicated externally (to end-investors) and/or internally (Sales, Traders, Origination, Syndication).

RESPONSIBILITIES
You will help the team in the following:
*Contributing ideas to analysts' research and publications
*Undertaking ad-hoc research projects
*Following market news and economic databases, including charts and tables
*Helping analysts prepare client and internal presentations
*Maintaining template documents used for publications
*Ensuring data and publications on research website are kept up to date
*Providing research material to internal clients
*Providing opinions and recommendations to investors through presentations, call, etc.

BACKGROUND
*Degree and/or masters in finance, economics, accounting or actuarial science
*Some previous experience in financial analysis, or a strong understanding and knowledge of financial analysis, particularly in the insurance sector.
*Solid computer skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
*Proven analytical and interpersonal skills as well as exceptional communication, writing and presentation skills required.
