We solve information problems for our clients by deploying and configuring powerful systems, and we train remarkable people how to use those tools effectively. We are based in Shrivenham, and have an office in Canberra.
At IMSL, you will work alongside other Engineers and successfully deploy, configure and test new data integration platforms. You are a problem-solver; you don't look to others to put a laptop on the training LAN, you will configure it yourself. You are confident with data in a variety of formats, and you can plan, demonstrate then implement a process to safely export and integrate a client's data sources. You can understand and anticipate technical risks; you communicate mitigation options to others working on your projct.
The responsibilities of an Integration Engineer are primarily:
- to master the platforms and tools that we configure, deploy, and use to train others
- when working with data, to understand sources and recommend integration options
- to liaise with and work alongside users, training and technical staff
- to upgrade, troubleshoot and reconfigure hardware and softwar
Desired skills and experience:
- professionalism and integrity, representing ourselves and others in front of clients
- experience using or configuring Linux
- experience using or configuring databases
- willingness to undergo security vetting
Beneficial:
- programming experience (any language)
- experience with markup languages (HTML, XML)
- experience with data design and conversion
- security clearance to SC or DV
- willingness to travel
