Position Responsibilities:Research, design and develop RF hardware and firmware for products and test equipment for BAN/PAN/WAN applications. Assess RF performance of products and systems to internal and established industry standards and regulations. Attend technical conferences and trade shows to stay current with industry trends, international standards organizations and consortiums. Assist in defining the roadmap for BAN/PAN/WAN radio communications for the business.

Technical competencies:
* Complete and thorough understanding of RF engineering and communications principles.
* Can originate complex designs and independently complete them. Works independent of technical supervision.
* Independently generates full complement of electrical design files. Can perform complex circuit simulations.
* Develops complex engineering and verification test protocols for system / subsystem testing.
* Able to define measurable parameters to assess communication performance of devices.
* Works with external test labs to complete required agency tests and to review reports.
* Has advanced understanding of test methods and analysis tools to solve technical problems.
* Able to prepare and present comprehensive design reviews.
* Supports the review of complex designs for DFM/DFT

Basic Qualifications:EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
Minimum 9 years experience in design and analysis of RF products and systems.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
* Experience programming and working with various RF chipsets including SOC's containing microcontrollers such as ARM, 8051 and MSP430.
* In depth knowledge of the mathematics and principles of digital communications and electromagnetics
* Experience designing systems to test the RF performance and communication characteristics of devices such as output power, receive sensitivity and antenna matching
* Skilled with RF engineering tools such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and waveform generators.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications:* Master of Science in Electrical Engineering
* Experience with industry standard RF communications protocols such as , , 802.11.
* Experience representing company in standards organizations and working groups.
* Excellent time management skill with ability to manage multiple priorities and delivering end product efficiently and on time
* Ensures task completion by establishing priorities and reaching compromise with team members and functional manager
* Solution orientated, generates multiple innovative solutions to complex or critical
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to effectively develop and present business information with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
* Strong organizational and analytical skills. .
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms
