This individual works independently, serves as a leader for projects, mentors junior staff and interacts cross functionally to design experiments and execute deliverables according to business needsRequirements:
- Proposes and evaluates application of new technologies and new targets for research/projects in alignment with business needs across functional areas.
- Identifies business need for, may be a primary or contributing author to, and may be an editor for, publications, posters, presentations, and internal documents; submits documents according to guidelines and educates junior staff on these guidelines.
- Mentors on technical or scientific area of expertise (e.g. experimental design, data analysis, and scientific techniques); may serve as a subject matter expert
- Designs/documents complex experiments/protocols (e.g. DOE) to align with project goals, both internal and external; executes independently and directs junior staff with execution; develops experimental path to meet POTC.

- Summarizes results, generates and approves technical reports, and completes, reviews, and approves experimental documentation
