Description
As the SQL Server DBA in this small/medium sized federal government agency based in the centre of all the action in Canberra/Civic.
Reponsibilities & Deliverables:-
- manage SQL databases supplying business systems for an international network;
- provision SQL Servers;
- performance and capacity management of SQL server systems;
- research, development and implementation of IT infrastructure for corporate application deployment;
- SQL server configuration management such as server patching and hardening;
- provide 2nd and 3rd level ServiceDesk support as required;
- complete work assigned and follow directions provided by the DBA team leader;
- change management processes for system configuration changes;
- provide technical advice to other ISB staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff
Environment:-
- MS Windows Active Directory based server environment
- Administer SQL Server R2 environments
- complex Transact SQL and complex SSIS
- logical and physical database modelling
- communication and documentation skills
- work effectively as part of a team
A NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level security clearance is ideal, minimum of Baseline clearance.
