Mobile Developer
As a Mobile Web Developer, you'll be responsible for the creative execution of mobile and web sites. You'll have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest individuals in a fun and relaxed environment.
From prototyping to launch, you'll have ownership over each step in the creative and development process. You'll create the experience and develop the user interface, while working closely with rest of the development team for services.
The ideal candidate for this role must have an excellent online portfolio with examples of mobile/web development and superb experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Find below are the desired experience and knowledge of the ideal candidate:
- HTML5
- CSS 2/3 - the developer needs to know CSS in general, but also needs to know what they can do in css3. CSS is where a lot of the good looks in our app are going to come from. They typical developer response about knowing CSS isn't probably enough. CSS is also a major performance win for mobile as a lot of things that would originally have required graphics can now be done in CSS.
- Progressive Enhancement -- knowing how to use HTML5 first, with a fallback to JavaScript, or further when browser support is not available
- Responsive Design -- know how to use media queries, grids, design mobile first
- JavaScript -- JQuery or Dojo is a must.
- EYE for Design
- AJAX/JSON/REST -- The developer needs to know the how to write client-side restful calls and the proper use of HTML actions and return HTML status codes.
- Client Server performance -- The ideal candidate will know about Client Server performance in high latency/small data connection environments.
